Later today I will be moving to the east side. I spent my entire life in Chicago. 24 years of memories….
Edit:
A month later here I am in Falls Church, Virginia—A small town that’s 20 minutes from Arlington (Pentagon) and 30 minutes from DC. I’ve traveled here before, but living here is a different story. Moving from one place to another helps you reflect and appreciate everything you had back home. For me it was: my family, my friends, my cat, my car, and all the comforts of home—especially having everything within walking distance, including a masjid. I have a chapel at work that converts into a masjid on friday’s so its not so bad. Speaking of work…
Work is the primary reason why I moved here. This was incredible opportunity that would boost my career, bring new experiences, and help me grow as a person.
I am grateful for everything that is happening here. I miss home, Ive never felt so appreciative of what I had.
